Bangor Home Inspections

Being licensed in Maine is not the foundation of a good home inspector in our opinion. We view licensing as only a basic entry-level requirement – but we want more than that.

Because of wanting more and to be better, we are InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspectors. That means we are held to a higher standard, are required to have more education and training, and that we are better equipped to find issues in your home, help you understand them, and provide clear information.

All your inspection needs in one place – home inspections, 11th-month inspections, environmental testing, thermal imaging, and more.

Pre-Purchase Inspections

Know before you buy it! Our pre-purchase Home inspections help buyers like you make educated decisions.

11th-Month Inspections

Have your home professionally inspected before your builder’s 12-month home warranty expires.

Environmental Testing

We provide environmental testing services that include radon gas testing and water quality testing.

Thermal Imaging Scans

We use the latest in technology – thermal imaging. Thermal scans come at no charge during an inspection.

After your home inspection is completed, we take the information that we gathered on-site and compile it into an easy-to-read electronic home inspection report.

Our reports are very clear and make the important information stand out.

A home is one of the largest purchases most of us will ever make in life. You should learn as much as you can about the condition of the property and the need for any major repairs before you buy, so you can minimize unpleasant surprises and difficulties afterward. After the home inspection, you will have a much clearer understanding of the property.

If you are already a homeowner, a home inspection may be used to identify problems in the making and take preventative measures. This can help you avoid costly repairs in the future.

Thermal imaging allows us to find many issues that can’t otherwise be found. Such as:

  • Water infiltration (roof leaks located with recent rain-fall within 24~48 hours)
  • Cold air infiltration
  • Excessive moisture in building materials
  • Stud / Joist / Beam / Rafter placement and structure
  • Insulation gaps, insufficient or uneven insulation
  • Electrical drops, panels, breakers, switches and wire connections
  • Heating and cooling duct placement, insulation, air leaks
  • Pipe location

NOTE: Although Infrared Imaging is a far better diagnostic tool than the naked eye, it does not guarantee 100% accuracy, unless removal or destruction of components can be achieved to validate findings. When possible, other tools are used to verify Thermal Images, but even with these considerations, we do not claim to have x-ray vision. Conditions may change and cause the apparent temperature readings revealed in Thermal Images to be different at any given time.

A home inspection is not just for buyers, but sellers can take advantage of them too. If you are planning to sell your home on the market, you may wish to have an inspection performed prior to placing your home on the market. This will give you a better understanding of the conditions which may be discovered by the buyer’s inspector and an opportunity to make repairs that will put the house in a better selling position. Having a thorough home inspection will help you comply with current disclosure laws concerning the sale of your property, make for an easier sale of your home, and provide a better home for the purchaser.

Pre-listing home inspections are a great way to get your home ready to be listed and get more money for your home. Find out the issues ahead of time and you will be able to better market your home. Contact us today for your pre-listing home inspection!

Every home requires maintenance to protect it from wind, water, and other elements. A Home Maintenance Check-up is the easiest way to prevent potential problems with your home. A Home Maintenance Check-up is an affordable alternative to a full home inspection at a fraction of the full inspection cost. A check-up can detect a few different problems such as:

  • Was there damage to your roof from the last storm?
  • Are there conditions around your house that would make it prone to basement seepage and flooding?
  • Do you have the recommended amount of insulation to help keep your home warm in winter?

A Home Maintenance Check-up can be customized to meet your particular needs. You choose the systems in the home you want inspected, (Roof, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Exterior, Interior, Attic/Insulation). We only do inspections, therefore we can give you an unbiased, professional opinion on the condition of your home and what repairs may be necessary, at a low inspection cost.

There is no single answer to that question – because every home is different. We customize every inspection to fit your needs. Every house has its own unique challenges that can affect your inspection cost. Age, size, and type of home or building are factors in your personal quote, which allows us to price your inspection fairly and competitively. We apply our experience and expertise to ensure your inspection cost is accurate and affordable. We will provide you with a no-obligation quote by phone or email – whichever you prefer.

Need more than an inspection? Check out our additional services! We can bundle different services together specifically for your needs, and offer these packages at a more affordable rate than each service independently.

We provide the best home inspections in Bangor, Maine and all surrounding areas!
